GUIDES -- How to find Your Own Personal Guide

"Lately, my thoughts
have been turning to spiritual values. I need someone to guide
me. How do I find the right one?"
Certainly, the
quest for meaning and for a personal guide to the Truth, isn't a
new one. It just seems to be more common with the new century.
It is in fact an old quest and has taken many forms. Even the
Beatles sought out their own guru...
"Millions of surfers are checking horoscopes, getting tarot
readings and consulting with psychics on a daily basis. It's a
PSYCHIC REVOLUTION." -Psychic Revenue
"Psychic
Revolution" comes closer to describing what is going on all
around us. New psychic talents are using Astrology, Tarot cards,
Runes, Numerology, clairvoyance, mediumship and biorhythm
readings to discover powerful, insightful elements about their
client's lives. Psychic online chatrooms are booming.
Naturopaths and medical intuitives are uncovering more about
holistic medicine. Crystals, gemstones, jewelry, are giving
focus to magical insights. Businesses not directly connected
with the Psychic Revolution are calling themselves "ethical" and
"holistic" and "spirit-based" and "Christian." Feng Shui
consultants are playing an important role in the designing of
new buildings. We hear talk of wellness and personal growth,
morality, relationships, faith and Traditional values. Subjects
from Aliens to Yoga, Angels to Zoroastrianism, are capturing the
interest of the general public. We are speaking now of the
integration of Body, Mind, Spirit.
And it is here
that the direction of what is happening all around us is
becoming clear. The late 20th Century brought a much needed
re-awakening of the Goddess and Feminine Wisdom. To that, an
awakening interest in all Religious thought, from Old Biblical
to Wiccan, is resulting in a Spiritual Revolution.
And it is with
this insight that we truly see what is happening all around us.
It is a Spiritual Revolution that is occuring -- a time of New
Spirituality!
Spirituality is
about inner quest and seeing Life as a grand adventure. It's
about celebrating the sacredness of each other and all of
Creation.
What, then, are
the most common paths to finding a personal guide?
1. THE
BIBLE -- For many, the quest has begun
with the book they may have abandoned in adulthood. Alone, or as
part of a Bible Study group, this is the path for them. If you
haven't read the Book that strengthened your childhood, here is
your first step.
"A new heart
also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you."
-Ezekiel 36:26
2. THE CHURCH --
Sadly, many have given up on going to church. Some of its
ministers and priests have proven too fallible to be true
spiritual guides. However, this is not the case with the
majority. Ask around. You might truly find a personal guide in
the very place you have abandoned.
3. YOUR
DREAMS -- For many, a spiritual guide
may appear in your dreams. The guide may be in any guise, though
the most common are the WISE OLD ONE (Woman or Man), a favorite
relative from your childhood, or an ANGEL. Listen to the
messages given you in your dreams.
Dream
Interpretation has grown to become a Key Element in what is now
unfolding around us. Dream Interpretation, drawing on
Traditional and Jungian dream study and on intuitive insight of
its new practitioners, is unlocking answers for our personal
lives. But also, Dream Interpretation -- following the lead of

filled with profound gratitude that he is alive.
Her miraculous
family includes three children, a devoted husband and an army of
